Students from Thailand were taken to Chandigarh for one day trip on 10.04.2011 to know about India. They were accompanied by two members of the school staff. They visited Rock Garden made by Nekchand, Sukhna Lake and Sector-17 market. The students feasted on Indian delicacies like chaat, dosa, etc. and enjoyed shopping. They came back by late evening thoroughly exhausted but happy
Jaipur Trip
It has always been DPS Panipat City’s earnest endeavour to look after the needs of its educators and students alike. Trips and excursions are organized from time to time to rejuvenate the minds. This year too a trip to the pink city – Jaipur was organized for the school educators from March 29 to March 31, 2011. Three buses loaded with staff members accompanied by their spouse and children left Panipat on the night of March 28, 2011 for Cambay Golf Resort on the outskirts of Pink city away from the hustle bustle of the city life. Visit to Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Birla Temple, City Gate, Jaipur Museum that bears testimony to the glory that Jaipur was, Rept everyone in gleeful disposition. Shopping at Johri Bazaar, M.I road for exquisite jewellery, bags, bandhini sarees, was the biggest attraction. A visit to Jaipur is incomplete without a visit to Chowki Dhani – a traditional village where hospitality rules the day. A special screening of the match between India and Pakistan was managed by Ms. Alka Batra. Swimming in the Resorts swimming pool, relaxing at orient spa and sumptuous delicacies prepared by efficient chefs kept everybody’s spirit high. The staff expressed their heartiest gratitude to Mr. Amit Rana, Pro-Vice Chairman of the school, and Ms. Rajni Sharma, Principal as well as staff club for organizing this wonderful trip
